The Dos and Don’ts of Necklace Display

Displaying jewelry is not just about putting different items on top of a table or just hanging different necklaces around your store. It requires careful planning as well as a good understanding of your products and your target niche.

There are different ways to display various types of necklaces. Most of the time, it depends on the availability of resources and the personality of its owner. If you are a jewelry seller, you can definitely find ways to create a unique and catchy display for your store.

However, there are some basic rules that you must be aware of before putting together different types of necklaces. Whether you are attending a trade show, joining a craft fair or just recreating the look of your jewelry store, these rules can definitely come in handy.

Here are some dos and don’ts when it comes to creating a necklace display.

  • Do Sort your items accordingly

This is especially true if you are running a jewelry store that sells different types of jewelry – from gothic, chic, romantic to vintage. Sorting your products accordingly allows you to showcase each item individually and keeps your display properly organized.

  • Don’t overstuff your table

Less is more even when it comes to necklace display stand. Overcrowding a tabletop with all of your items only makes your store crowded and cluttered. Display a few pieces of your necklaces and then leave other stock under the table or in your stockroom. In case people want to have a different color or size of your necklace, they will surely ask for its availability. If you have spaces on the walls of your store, use it to maximize your display.

  • Do rotate your items from time to time

Moving your items once in a while keeps your display fresh and updated. It also helps in clearing out slow selling items and gives your customers an opportunity to see other products in your store. Do this at least once a month or during special occasions.

  • Don’t mix too many bright colors in one display

Mixing too many colors can make a display look too busy and noisy. Instead, recreate it to have a more eye pleasing look that will allow customers to experience your products more smoothly. Separate your items by color or by theme to create a perfectly put together look in your store.

Do create variety by using different heights and sizes of display cases

Different necklaces can be displayed in various ways. So instead of having a plain and boring display, make it more exciting by using different accessories to spice it up. You can use boxes in different sizes, or racks in various heights. Other objects like tea cups, saucers, trays among many others can also help you make a standout product placement.
